The Inclusion Volunteer Class initiated by Jaringan Solo Inklusi (Solo Inclusion Vision Network) with 27 members and with support from Yayasan YAPHI completed its session on Saturday (15/11), with a topic on disability sensitivity. Yet, there was a final class they attended – discussion on Human Rights and Disability.

Children were the country’s future generation with the rights to grow and develop optimally – physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially. Yet, many children did not understand their own rights such as rights to play, to have education, to be protected, and to participate. They needed education and information dissemination regarding child’s rights. Information dissemination was highly beneficial for children.
Add a commentEvery woman and child has the right to a safe life free of violence, discrimination and fear. Yet the fact is that to date violence against women and children continues to occur and become serious problem that stall social justice and welfare. A sense of safety – physically, pschologically, and socially – is a basic right that many women and children have not enjoyed in Indonesia, including in Central Java and particularly in Surakarta City.

Education is the right of all children in Indonesia. Everyone senses the constant anxiety about the zoning system implemented in the last 10-12 years. The preamble of the Constitution has clearly stated that the objective is to enlighten the life of Indonesia and paragraph 4 point 1 and paragraph 6 of the National Education Law say that the objective of education is democracy, justice and non-discrimination.

In session four/closing, Inclusion Volunteer class or kelas Relawan Inklusi (Relasi), an initiative by Solo Inclusion Vision Network or Jaringan Visi Solo Inklusi and Yayasan YAPHI presented Pamikatsih to talk about sensitivity and ethics when interacting with people with disability, on Saturday (15/11/2025). The training involved 22 participants and proceeded for six hours at Anawin Hall, Yayasan YAPHI Surakarta.
