Legalising draft law on domestic workers’ protection is already in limbo for 21 years. To date, the Parliament shows its seriousness to immediately legalise it into law.
On 1 May 2025, President Prabowo Subianto has promised to legalise draft law on domestic workers’ protection into law in three months, but that promise has evaporated without a trace. Now, Prabowo was accompanied by the Vice-Chair of the Parliament Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, who also promised that the Parliament will discuss in a week after 1 May 2025. But that promise was an empty promise that never happens.

Peace within is important for an inclusion volunteer when they are dealing with vulnerable people, such as children, women, and people with disability. The public often read jargon – re. icon for young people – when the jargon is plastered on walls or strategic areas where people can easily read. It is interesting that such jargon often contains a justification rather than mere jargon. An example of such jargon is found on the main street of Surakarta City – on a supermarket wall that says "Psychology is expensive, so God created Slamet Riyadi Street".

Law No. 1 Year 2023 will apply and one of the points is that many things need to be adjusted to Law No. 1 Year 2023, so this draft law would be critical foundation for how to adjust points on sentences in Law No. 1 Year 2023. Hence the Directorate General of Law, on behalf of the Law Minister, conducts a webinar to discuss the issue on Tuesday (21/10)
